NYFW Trend Alert: Bum Bags
It seems like New York Fashion Week 2018 came and went in a flash. The world’s top designers descended upon New York City and shared their fashion forward designs with the world.
We both love seeing all the looks that come from the designers and seeing how they can transform into ready-to-wear fashion fit for the rest of the world. We love putting together an outfit and, to us, a good accessory is the icing on the cake. Whether it be a statement necklace or an interesting heel, that one special piece can completely make an outfit. Our fave, of course, for virtually any outfit imaginable is the VIVRA pouch – our stylish belt-free and hands-free accessory!

THE DESIGNERS
Did you love seeing all the looks that came from the runway? We certainly noticed a common theme to come from these big fashion houses and we couldn’t be more excited about it. You guessed it… bumbags! There were models from the likes of Celine, Zimmerman, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs and Anna Sui adorned with bumbags while they were walking down the runways.
Luxury fashion powerhouse Gucci also put their upmarket take on the retro accessory. We’re liking the gold details, but that belt doesn’t need to be there… it’s just crumpling her jacket!
This femme military look comes from our Aussie favourite, Zimmerman! We’re loving the tough yet soft contrast here! To make this less runway and ready to wear we recommend pairing the Commando VIVRA pouch with dark slim pants or shorts and a white boyfriend tee. Smoldering look optional!
EDGY AND TOTALLY WEARABLE
We’re loving the colour and textures from Rebecca Minkoff’s show! There are definitely some edgy, cool chick vibes here! Although, those bumbag belts are dragging on those models, and imagine the bounce! Want to recreate this look and make it a bit more ready to wear?
