VAMFF - The latest looks
The 2018 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival kicked off on March 1 and we’ve been in heaven seeing all of the new looks from our favourite local designers and fashionistas. Seeing the bold and beautiful colours on the runway, along with the stylish outfits of the fashion forward, was like creative therapy for us.
Hot off the heels of international fashion events (New York Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week, just to name a couple), there were quite a few standout accessories that caught our eye. Yes, you guessed it, bum bags! We love the 90s retro looks that were on show and on the streets, and we can’t wait to see more of it. The classic fanny pack is deservedly having a brilliant moment and we’re excited to share with you the modernised uptake in our hands-free, belt-free VIVRA pouch! But first, let’s take a moment to admire the latest looks from our local fashion houses.
MELBOURNE: STREET LUXE
Streetwear cool is the only way we could define these two outfits. These off-duty cool looks were taken outside of VAMFF, and totally wearable in our opinion. Who doesn’t love a trendy and comfortable look?

LUXE MEN’S ACCESSORY
We’re loving that men can join in and make a statement with their outfits too (and to carry their own keys too!). Make it tough, or make it luxe - it's definitely how you want to wear it. We love the simple clean white shirt below with the rich green bum bag - however, the belt is ruining his shirt. Avoid the unnecessary crinkle of your shirt, and that drag and bounce every time you walk or run, with the Commando VIVRA pouch. Cool sunnies optional!

MONOCHROME DREAMS
Monochromatic looks are going strong and we’re not complaining! We love a strong monochrome look and highly endorse this look whenever you want to make a statement (or simply can’t find anything else in your closet to wear!).
Here these gorgeous girls are giving us such monochrome inspo! That bold lip, and that statement yellow block heel is perfection! Our only recommendation to this would be to swap out that fanny pack for the Cersei VIVRA pouch - it will stay in place and not move around (or bounce or drag either) once in place. The extra strong magnets make our trendy accessory super functional and comfortable too!

Pops of pink
Local Aussie designer Scanlan Theodore shared this beautiful top to toe pink ensemble on the runway. Skirts and bum bags? Huge yes from us! To make this a much a more comfortable (and still trendy) look, we suggest swapping out that belted bum bag, to the Slim Dusty VIVRA pouch.
